Hello {first},
We hope this email finds you well. You are receiving this monthly newsletter, as a founding member of Creative Generation - thank you again for your support!
First, we would like to give you brief update on our progress since last fall. Creative Generation has received approval from the District of Columbia and the IRS to operate fully as a Benefit Corporation - or B Corp. This will allow us the flexibility to accomplish our mission in new and different ways!
Second, I wanted to provide you with a few pieces of the latest news from our work:

In January, we launched our first campaign in January - Campaign 2020: Arts and Cultural Education as a Fundamental, Civil, and Human Right. This effort is a free and easily accessible opportunity for individuals and organizations to commit to manageable actions to amplify the work of our field - the space at the intersection of arts/culture, education, and social change. Amplify the work by encouraging individuals and organization to consider joining the campaign!
In December, we announced the pilot cohort of the Gen C Incubator. You can check out the projects here. We also just announced our collaboration with the latest project accepted into the incubator - and the first in Africa - the Jubafest Initiative. Big news all around!
Last month, we finalized our curriculum for the Gen C Academy and shared it at the Southeastern Arts Leadership Educators conference in Charleston, SC, USA. We have secured a distinguished advisory committee, and look forward to piloting the Academy in four communities in 2020.
